Showcasing fresh, locally sourced and seasonal ingredients of uncompromising quality, our chefs create delicious and innovative menus, comprised of interesting and beautiful hors d’oeuvres, unique interactive food stations, sophisticated dinners and relaxed family style menus. Our professional event management team takes exceptional care of organizing all the details from small intimate dinners to large scale events.
Chris began his culinary career in some of Toronto’s finest dining establishments including, Splendido and Avalon. He then moved to Europe and worked in Michellin Starred restaurants in both Italy and France for over five years. Chris returned to Toronto to open one of Toronto's top restaurants, Perigee.
Chris launched Citizen Catering in 2013. Prior to that, his passion for cooking and his determination to fight hunger at a grassroots level led him to establish catering operations at The Stop Community Food Centre, one of Toronto’s largest not-for-profit food organizations.
A long time member of the Group of Seven Chefs, Chris regularly travels across the country and around the world in order to further his understanding of the powerful relationship between food, culture and community.
DIRECTOR OF OPERATIONS
Jodi began her career at The Four Seasons Hotel, developing her customer service excellence standards at a young age. The exciting world of event planning was a natural path for Jodi to follow, fulfilling her passion for organization and taking care of people.
Her love of great food led her to work with renowned chef Jamie Kennedy, acting as Senior Manager for his catering operations while overseeing both in-house and off-site events, including dozens of weddings. When she joined Bassett Events, a leader in Toronto’s signature fundraising galas, Jodi gained valuable expertise in staging complex events involving close to a thousand guests.
Jodi's personable approach, attention to detail and creative instincts help ensure that each event becomes an unforgettable and one-of-a-kind experience.
CHEF DE CUISINE
Alex honed his craft for over 10 years at some of Toronto’s most exciting kitchens including Opus and Parts and Labour. He learned the fine art of catering working alongside Chris Brown at The Stop Community Food Centre.
Alex believes food is about sharing good times with great company and relies heavily on local and seasonal ingredients to bring people and communities together.
